Just switched from fDUP to Play More and got Apple music for free. Yesterday Verizon added Apple Music as an ongoing free-to-use service for its Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited plans. Now you get free Apple Music with Verizon successfully.
I just cancelled it and added the 6 month free Apple Music plan from Verizon.
Enter free Apple Music for six months on the search box then click Add. The music streaming service is available on select Verizon Wireless plans starting on January 17 2019. If the phone has no physical damage and you are within your 1yr manufacturers warranty you could call CS and possibly get a refurbished phone. Brings me to the Apple music app and it appears to link my Verizon account and apple ID.
